Out for a short drive after brunch today, and I decided to stop and get a photo of the osprey on her nest.
I saw a place advertised for rent and I decided to contact the owner so I could have a look at it. 3 bedroom, main floor of a house, in a decent neighborhood with a shed and the price was reasonable too. He said there were some renovations being done. I'm not going to take it though. He installed a new washer and dryer and hot water tank, they now take up half the closet space in 2 of the bedrooms. So the closet in the main bedroom would be smaller than what I have now. Some of the kitchen cupboard doors don't close properly and I have a cat that likes to open cupboard doors now. The window in the living room needs to be replaced, I can only imagine how much heat would be lost thru it during the winter. I like the outdoor space and the fact that I would have a shed but I just could not see making the indoor space work for me. When the right place comes along, I will know it when I see it. For now, the landlord here seems to have calmed down, of course me working longer hours and him working an evening shift means our paths don't cross very often.
