wham! Bam! I am. A Man
Couldn’t resist this copy of the radio times today.
Took me right back to the 80s. I remember standing in the Dole Office, which had just been created in the Old Library, prior to
It becoming a dentist surgery.
I had my ‘ghetto blaster’ which really wasn’t and I was playing Wham Rap as I waited my turn. With my cut off jeans, my layered tee shirt and my floppy fringe.

I registered as unemployed until my registrations with Temp Agencies came through.
I loved Temping; I had such a wide range of jobs. My norm was to offer the employer my services free of charge for the morning if I had no experience and if I hadn’t mastered it I’d go away.
I continued to temp during college and after … I remember a temping job where I was interviewed for two days as part of a training exercise for Human Resource Managers .
It was highly amusing. I had to go in with different attitudes to give the managers experience
At the end of it all - they gave me loads of tips on what to say and do In order to be the best ! And I got paid and fed!
