The Cluanie Ridge from Ben Tee
Took myself down to Loch Lochy today, on a lovely sunny morning, and went for a stroll over Ben Tee, Sron a'Choire Ghairbh and Meall na Teanga, from Kilfinnan Showers of rain came over in the afternoon and it clouded over, but not windy so it wasn't cold. The flowers on Ben Tee were beautiful, I saw: grass of parnassus, common spotted orchid, bog asphodel, bog cotton, tormentil, harebell, goldenrod, mountain thyme, Alpine ladies mantel, cross-leaved heath, ling heather, bear berry, bleaberry, cloud berry, starry saxifrage and yellow saxifrage. I also disturbed a pair of snipe and heard (but didn't see) ptarmigan.
Why bother with a garden when you have the Scottish Highlands?
Blaeberries always slow me up, because I have to stop and eat some!
Today's blip is looking over to the Cluanie ridge from Ben Tee, and the extra is starry saxifrage, a beautiful delicate wee flower.
