Sun on Earth

The sunflowers in the field nearest to us are in full bloom now.

Slow day, after coming back very late from my mother’s house last night. She was suffering not just from the ordeal at the ER yesterday, but also from the extreme heat. Even in the Taunus hills we had 34°C, with up to 38°C in the Rhine valley.

Today was not quite as hot, and she was feeling a bit better; but tomorrow the temperature could reach 37°C again.

I didn’t sleep well, only managed the most urgent work and paperwork, plus getting our fridge repaired. Now I am hoping for an early night, as I’ll need to be at my mother’s house in the morning to organize a nursing care bed for her.
