Wine Club BBQ.

We had rain and some thunder but it didn’t spoil our Wine Club BBQ thanks to Molly and neighbours putting up several gazebos, awnings etc. early morning, and getting wet through in the process. It did keep us dry though.

We caught a bus into Leeds, where we were picked up by K. ( who was still wet from putting the gazebos up) to arrive in time for the champagne and nibbles at 12.30pm.
K went home for a quick shower and change. God job he only lived next door.

Must say we hardly noticed the rain as we were having such a good time.
The food and drink flowed and we didn’t leave until 7.30pm when K’s daughter kindly drove us back to the bus station. We caught the bus home to arrive in time for another thunderstorm! Fortunately had umbrellas and with only a few hundred yards to our door we didn’t get wet.

A superb sweet wine which went well with the selection of cheeses.
