A Pleasant, Cloudy Day

It was cloudy and cool until about 2:30 and then the sun emerged and it became a lovely afternoon. A walk at the Arboretum this morning where I found the berries of Oregon Grape Holly, or Mahonia aquifolium. The common name seems appropriate doesn’t it?

I puttered around all afternoon in the house and then on the courtyard. I have a friend coming Monday to stay for a couple of days so am trying to straighten things up. It’s fun though- I didn’t really have a chance to do a lot of that when I moved since I had my knee replaced a couple of weeks later. So I had some catching up to do!

The extra is a particularly vibrant geranium on my back deck.
