Bus Challenge No 190

Sidmouth, Devon - the cliffs really are that red!

Not a cloud in the sky when we took the bus into Sidmouth, and it stayed that way all day, reaching 24 degrees.

After a cuppa in a former pub dating back to 1350, and some more Christmas shopping, we headed to the busy seafront; the beautiful weather had brought everyone to the coast! Aunty H wanted to treat me to lunch in the grand Victoria Hotel, then on to the Connaught Gardens with wonderful views in all directions, before descending Jacobs Ladder to the beach below. We just had time for a 99 ice cream before taking the bus back to Feniton; another interesting ride hurtling along the narrow lanes, encountering lorries and tractors! (More scenes from Sidmouth in extras.)

Early evening, at Feniton station, I said goodbye to Aunty Hazel and Devon and took the first of three trains back home.

Total bus journey time = 1h 26mins

(Thank you for all your recent kind stars and hearts. Slowly catching up with the world of blip. Have gone back and completed my journal entries for my first two days in Devon and added extras.)
