Port of Wilmington

We took a "sunset" cruise last evening on the Cape Fear and Brunswick Rivers. Only the marine layer rolled in and there was nothing in the way of sunset views. At least it didn't rain and we were treated to some brilliant lightening on the way back the city. We got a front row seat on stools next to the Captain who was a wealth of knowledge and some views of pelicans flying along with us as well as a sea turtle that went right under the catamaran. We didn't realize when we made the reservation it was kind of a party boat - so lots of noise, live music, not what we'd planned but it was a fun change from the usual Friday night.
