Winter is……

…….. a cold wet day, a bucket of pine cones, a bright wood fire and a happily snoozing dog on her favourite mat. A very wet, fluffy cat, Myrtle, has just plonked herself down on my lap.
It has rained for most of the day. Not large amounts but enough to make the garden more soggy. I feel very very sorry the people of the Gisborne area. They are, yet again dealing with very heavy rain and it’s affects. Land slips, road closures and flooding and more. Other areas in the eastern side of the North Island in particular. .
