Alliums*

We all had a good night’s sleep last night, and today has kept me quite busy administering three kinds of pills and three kinds of drops all at different times! A spread sheet is needed. When not doing that, I am escorting him outside. He’s beginning to get his sea legs back, but is still pretty disoriented because of the cone. We’ve rearranged the furniture to give him more open space and fewer corners to bump into. The cone keeps him from scratching at his face but it also makes it really difficult for him to sniff and to triangulate his position with his ‘sonar’.

The vet told me yesterday that even though he didn’t really show it she was sure that he was in pain and assured me that we wouldn’t regret doing this. I’m sure she is right, but it’s tough to see him as he is now still wagging his tail even when he can barely walk! Dogs are so valiant!

I know he has a lot of fans out there in Blipland, and I really am so grateful to all of you who have helped us through this. It’s a great relief to have the surgery behind us, but we have a week or so of vigilance ahead.

With nothing better to do, I revisited Mac Photo and have spent most of the day trying to organize my photos. I knew that I’ve managed to keep a Blipfoto album going so I should be able to figure out how to make more. With the help of YouTube I got a start. Not an easy task when there are thousands of photos. I could probably eliminate half the flower pictures and half the ones of birds! It will probably be a few more years before o get back to the task. Note to self: do it as you go along! It was a bit of a trip down memory lane, but after sitting on the couch immersed in memories most of the day, I’m almost as disoriented as Spike!
