Using the courgettes

They aren’t my favourite veg but they are quite nice when young and firm. This was surprisingly tasty - yellow and green courgettes, a ripe pear, toasted pine nuts and some Parmesan shavings. I poured on some of the expensive but delicious balsamic from the deli. At least they’ll refill my bottle.

Lynne’s production of “A Bunch of Amateurs” last night was so good. I haven’t laughed so much in ages. It was slick, well-acted, with perfect timing. A lot of hard work and talent there.

This morning I bought tickets for the Yayoi Kusama exhibition in Manchester later in the month. We’ve never been to the ‘northern powerhouse’. We are taking the van then getting a metro into the centre.

I have to send Jenny the money for our expensive train trip to Venice in October. I think Mr C might get a shock when he sees the cost - I’m thinking my voice might not have been compatible with his hearing when I told him about it originally. I hope his pacemaker is working.
