Twins

A couple of years ago I got my 90s vintage Alinco DJ-F1E (left) working again,  modified it to current standards, and found and fitted a CTSS board to make it compatible with modern repeaters (after a false start).

This was a treasured possession when I was a teenager.  

I recently got hold if it's brother, the Alinco DJ-F4E (right) for a tenner online.  Back when I had the F1E I always rather fancied getting my hands on the F4E but the opportunity never arose until now.  It even has the CTSS option factory fitted!  Better late than never.

Here they are, just hanging out companionably on the 2m and 70cm calling channels respectively.
