What a difference a day makes

I set off to walk down to the station, got the train to Southampton, walked down to the ferry terminal, met my friend and got in her car, then drove onto the Red Funnel ferry which transported us across the Solent to East Cowes on the Isle of Wight
We’re staying with a friend who lives here, in a lovely little house with a beautiful garden. We had lunch outside and settled in, the à lovely walk down to the waterfront in East Cowes. None of my pictures is really blip worthy, but this is the best. The boats are all out getting ready for Cowes week. In the picture, though you wouldn’t know it is an egret, some black headed gulls and some oystercatchers
