Ginkgo biloba
We spent the day at Harlow Carr Garden and started with coffee in Betty's Tearoom there, always a treat.
Then a wander to admire the planting, the woods, flowers and the improvements underway. Next visit should include a trot across the new clapper bridge!
The Queen Mother's Lake was replete with waterlilies, such that the black chicks of the ?tufted duck ploughed their way through while dragonflies circled overhead.
We had an interesting discussion with a regular visitor about the comparative scent of rose varieties Gertrude Jekyll and Harlow Carr, though, of course, I could detect neither.
My blip is a Ginkgo biloba Mariker, height approximately 10 ins (25cms), in the Alpine section. So tiny - I love it.
