Day of Summer and Poetry

Today is the Day of Summer and Poetry, and the birthday of poet Eino Leino (1878−1926), who wrote about nature, love and despair in his poems.

I met my friend Pia in the afternoon: first we went to the Bistro Venla, then to see exhibitions in the Finlayson Art Area. So much interesting things to see! In the picture is a detail of Sami Lukkarinen's painting.

Finally, we watched live English improv show of OK TEN group in the Väinö Linna square. I don't remember ever seeing improvisational theatre before!
