Portrait Gallery

A meeting over coffee at the gallery; part of talking to various National Library of Scotland people. Wandered round afterwards; there were study groups and visitors all through. Dull and dry at that point. Rain came on late morning.

Most of the afternoon occupied by unannounced contractors sent by the building factor to test the fire suppression system. Didn't get out again; did get more exercise going up and down 5 floors of stairs ..
