Lanhydrock In The Rain
We've finally had heavy rain, for most of today. We mooched about the in flat in the morning and put plan B into operation in the afternoon when it was clear the rain wasn't going away any time soon. Plan B being the National Trust, nearby Lanhydrock in this case. The last time we were there it was raining. We ought to go back one day when the weather is fine as it was too wet really to think about the gardens.
After looking around the three sections of the house we had a cream tea in the café, so that is something crossed off our Cornwall list.
The main blip is another panorama, taken as we approached the house. In the extras a shot from inside, another pano, and also another shot from the apartment, a minimalist view this morning before the rain really set in.
After Lanhydrock we drove on into Bodmin as I had discovered that Asteroid City was showing at the local cinema. It was a super little theatre. I really enjoyed the film, though not sure I agree with reports that it is Wes Anderson's best yet. I am sure that mrsfb didn't enjoy it quite as much as me, but she did appreciate parts of it. She laughed in a few places, though not necessarily the same parts that others were laughing at :-)
At the start I thought there would only be one couple there with us, but it filled up just before the film began. Eventually there were 17 people there including us, though 2 walked out half way through!
