Fourth of July

It felt good to sleep in this morning. Hubby changed the oil in his SUV while I was being lazy. Later, while hubby was grocery shopping, I fed the birds, cleaned and refilled the bird bath, picked vegetables, weeded around the heat pump, picked up weed piles and turned into a complete sweat ball. Yep, it is July! After my shower, I did one load of laundry and took off the rest of the day. We have been invited to Kristen’s for a typical burgers and hot dogs picnic later today. Hubby is furnishing the All American apple pie for dessert. Someone in Kristen’s neighborhood sets off fireworks but we may not stay for those. We will miss being with my sister and BIL, watching fireworks on their beach. My sister is still in WV, taking care of the farm alone since the neighbor who normally cuts their grass, is recovering from surgery. Her hubby is home tending their garden and their routine commitments. Really missed her this past weekend. Hope our blippers “on this side of the pond” have a safe and memorable holiday. We are getting reports of worldwide unrest. Stay safe and be watchful.
