Journey To Dunnichen And Letham Crafts

Following on from Saturday’s presentation in Edinburgh, we decided to explore the landscape where the Battle of Dunnichen was fought.

Pat had also been advised about Letham Crafts which is located on the East boundary of the Battle site.

First stop was Letham Crafts where Pat purchased very fine threads and leather needles for her Singer Sewing machine.

The shop also serves some rather delicious cakes and a full range of coffees. Hard to resist.

By the time we reached Dunnichen the weather was dreich.

The photo shows the remains of the marsh which did for the Northumbrian Army and the start of the footpath to Letham.

We must walk along it in better weather.
