Hoping for rain

Our weather has been hot and everything is drying up. The fire danger is rated as high on the island, and so many of the wildfires that have happened in the province this year have been human caused. I really hope that everyone is being super careful!  We desperately need rain, but it's getting hotter as the week progresses. Fingers crossed that we get rain soon, although I don't see any in the long term forecast.
I had a good walk down Xwaaqw'um this morning after watering the garden. This sign is posted at the entrance to one of the trails. It was windy, not good because everything will dry out even more. We did some work in the garden when I got home, put the netting over the blueberries and some stakes to support tomato plants. Everything's growing well, so the garden seems to like the weather!
