Pond Life

I spent time today pulling out Parrot Feather, pond weed, aquatic mint and oversized lily pads (so much for that being a miniature/small variety) revealing a load of buds which had been completely covered. Hopefully there will now be more open blooms in the next few days.
The development of the tadpoles seems quite strange this year. Some of them are huge with almost no discernible legs and others are much small with fully formed legs - but their tails seem to have grown rather than shrunk.
Hopefully No1 son will be able to identify the woodlouse type creature .... which I wasn't able to get a clear shot of due the speed kit was racing around my hand.
