Up and Back

Second day in Switzerland, also my (Chris) day to come home whilst Annie stays on for the next three weeks. We were up bright and early to catch the train up Rigi. It was a bit grey and overcast as we set off but looked OK. As we rose up into the clouds the conditions changed somewhat, the second half of the train ride was virtually all in the clouds (see the view near the top in the extra)! These sorts of things always amuse us - we decided to walk down until the clouds cleared again and enjoyed a steep descent followed by a tasty crepe! We caught the train again for the last section back to the start as we'd already walked 5 miles by that stage.

We took a meandering route from Rigi back to Zurich where I caught a flight back to London. It has been a lovely few days for me and the start of a fun few weeks for Annie as whilst she will be working in the days, she will have a chance to explore in the evenings and weekends.
