Colour on a grey day (Day 2974)

It has been an utterly vile day. Strong wind and lashing down with rain has made everything much more difficult. After the morning wander with Sigyn, and the usual Sunday shopping trip, I headed to the horses. They all looked thoroughly miserable and Red was shivering a bit. He can be a bit difficult to deal with when he is stressed, so I was reasonably pleased that I managed to catch him and get a rug on him without too much fuss. I was less pleased that the quad has decided it doesn't want to start. It wasn't a day for fiddling with it in the field, so I used the truck to distribute hay.
Back home to change clothes having found out my waterproofs aren't, and to await the arrival of my beautiful wife from adventures overseas.
Another wander with Sigyn and another change of clothes having found my spare waterproofs aren't, then lunch and some stuff done at home before another trip to the horses. Red was still cold so we changed him to a thicker rug and put an even thicker one on Jeeps. Even George had started to shiver a bit, and he was pleased to have a rug on, or be fed several bananas, or both. The field at Warebeth has a great view, but in weather like today's it isn't a place to be hanging around. Robin is fairly sensible and uses all the other horses as wind breaks.
