Rain coming (Day 2973)
The day started with a wander up the hill with Sigyn, then a trip through to the horses. Surprisingly I missed the worst of the rain, and was too warm while I got the horse chores done. Showers were not far off as I left the field and by the time I got home and organised to get Sigyn out another wander, it was pouring rain. We walked at Lyde and the rain eased off a bit as we got back to the truck. Despite the heavy rain, Sigyn clearly thought she wasn't wet enough and had a wallow in the burn.
Home to catch up on a few things then back to the field to get more hay out and put a rug on beeps. The forecast is for heavy rain all night with a bit of a breeze, so best to keep him a bit drier. The others are much hardier and will be fine without coats on.
The ferry company have over reacted to the weather forecast and cancelled the boat my beautiful wife was supposed to be coming home on. The first sailing tomorrow morning is also "under review" so it is anyone's guess when she might actually get home.
