Brissago - Cannobio

Sunday is market day in Cannobio (Italy). We took the eBikes and decided to ride besides the lake on the main road. On weekends there are no Italian lorries or vans, just tourist who usually drive very careful. We enjoyed a cappuccino down at the harbour but did not even try to walk through the market with the bikes. Too narrow and too many people. Cannobio has a very pretty old town. So we will be back on a different day.

Lunch back in Brissago at the lake with a fish, Moules, Vongole mix, grilled vegetables and local rosé wine. Then the strada panoramica steep up to Ronco sopra Ascona and Losone. A last quick stop at the Fontana di Madonna (a beer in the forest) and then heading home.

Sunny weather with 30° and a nice breeze. 45km in 3 hours cycling, 550m altitude, crossing the border to Italy twice, 3 hours for coffee, lunch and grotto breaks. Suunto says 1800 calories burned. I am sure I have consumed more during the day.
