Ascona

Raining all night and blue sky early morning. A still cool morning and a summer afternoon with 28° but quite a strong cooling breeze.

We did a 4 hour circular hike from Ascona up to Monte Verità (a glass of white on the Bauhaus building terrace was a must), then further up to the view point of Balladrum, down to Arcegno, through the bosco di Maia and back to Monte Verità and down to Ascona. 11km, 400m altitude, 18000 steps.

The reward in Ascona were the various Jazz groups playing in the narrow alleys and on the lakefront stages. It was the last day of the Jazz week in Ascona.

Pasta Scoglio (with the leftovers from yesterday) with salad and Merlot for dinner. Very tired. Very happy.
