Nothing like a little spontaneity to liven things up! With a long weekend and a little wanderlust, we decided to head in the direction of the best weather forecast. Oddly enough, that meant north! We ended up in Copenhagen to tour the Danish capital.

It was a beautiful day and I reveled in the opportunity to sit in an outdoor cafe of the the historic Viking village, sipping a refreshing beer at lunchtime in the warm sunshine! I could have stayed several more hours, but in the early evening, my boys were tuckered out from many kilometers of walking and lots of stair climbing (to the tops of church steeples, castle lookouts, and other cool spots for gorgeous views). So we took the ferry back to Hohwacht, Germany in time to catch another beautiful sunset over the Baltic from the boat deck.

This blip is a day late, and obviously, I couldn't chose just one image! I've not had any time to process them yet or chose a favorite, so here's a quick collage of some of the lovely sites :)
