Alcester Duck Race

Prior to going to the Village Hall BBQ last night we had the drama of a large Buzzard/Hawk swooping into our garden and going for one of the baby rabbits. I rushed to our window and scared the bird off. The rabbit jumped in to the thicket and looks to have survived. However things have been very subdued today but the animals are starting to return.

The BBQ was excellent and we met up with lots of interesting people but did not win any raffle prizes. Not even the shower gel!

Got up to date with Blip and once again what a great range of images to view and narratives to read.

Went to the Alcester Duck Race which was well supported and great fun. First prize was worth £200 which unfortunately we did not win. Image is the finishing line with the Duck Hunters ready and waiting. All the proceeds go to buying flags, bunting and new LED lighting to decorate Alcester High Street.

Granddaughter is 10 today and we will get to see our family on Tuesday
