Thistle

This is Cirsium rivulare "Atropurpureum" . Loved by bees and other insects, and also by me.

I have spent the day digging large holes and filling them with manure, compost and rotted seaweed, in readiness for the curcubits, if they ever germinate. I am knackered and need to lie down in a darkened room. I wish someone would cook my dinner for me.
