Cottage garden border on the last day of May
It was bright sunshine this morning when I took this shot. Not the best conditions for flower photography, but this corner looked so nice with the primary colours.
I spent four or five hours on the allotment, dug a whole bed, after clearing it of the old brassicas which have now gone to flower. Emptied a compost bin and spread the compost on the newly dug bed. It looks like great progress. Now I am just waiting for the beans to emerge in their pot and be large enough to put out. I just hope they haven't rotted, or I will have to start again, and I begin to think I won't get broad beans until October at this rate.
6.00pm and it is raining .............again!
