Diary of an Edinburgher

Italy Day One

Well a 4.30 rise wasn't too bad. It was warm. But the taxi was late! A good 20 minutes! Which meant we were at the end of a very long queue... but a nice lady in uniform asked us to come out of the very long queue and go to the front... was it Hazel's LV bag? We will never know, but but we skipped about a mile of queue! Which  was brilliant. Also, we booked ' Fast Track' which proved to be ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THING. Hundreds of folk in the ordinary lane, we walked right past them all. The best £7 I have ever spent!

Very impressed with Jet2 - the many staff on hand to help, seating in sections. AND selling EarPods, identical to Apple ones, for £35 instead of £99! Yes, I forgot to bring my EarPods and bought new pretend ones.

Met by a taxi -what a treat! Dropped at the central hotel which is is wonderful. AND they do free drinkies in one of the bars from 1-5pm. We have made good use of that facility. Very good use of it . Before and after our wander round town… The props for the next shows were stored around the arena.

The hotel is VERY near the arena. We dandered through the lovely granite stoned streets, (loads of top end labels!) devoid of litter and chewing gum, and found a table with a view of the arena, though there were plenty of them. The others are getting ready to go back into town for a meal and to soak up the atmosphere. LOVE IT!
