Gone to seed

I know you're not really supposed to let chives get to the point of flowering, but they're so pretty! I tried several versions of this shot on macro mode, all disappointing. Then I turned it off and went back to the automatic setting... and this was favourite! The little Gs are big fans of chives. They will regularly help themselves to handful upon handful, giving them the most delightful (ahem!) oniony breath. Heaven knows what pre-school think I feed them!

A sunny afternoon here today, let's hope that'll set the tone for the rest of June. To be fair, we had a lovely sunny day as well yesterday, but I spent the morning at a play gym with the little Gs (no photos allowed) and the afternoon in a stuffy office in Letchworth (no photos desired) so I have no evidence of it to offer you.
