Nobody Here But Us Chickens by Louis Jordan
The early miners wanted to name their camp Ptarmigan but were unable to spell it and settled for chicken which is the common name in the north for Ptarmigan. This is Eggee a giant metal chicken made from recycled high school lockers by students in Homer and transported up here. Little Ted and I were delighted to see a New Zealand place name on the list. Australia features too. That's the camper in the background.
We drove down the Taylor Highway and are back in the RV park in Tok with the fast wifi, showers and laundry. The next two days I will be off the grid again as we camp on our drive down to Valdez. The adventure continues.
