Forever Young by Bob Dylan

A big day of driving as we followed the Yukon River to Dawson City then took the little ferry across the river so we could drive the Top of The World Highway and enter Alaska again coming to a stop at Chicken.  From spruce and rivers to high tundra and back down to spruce and willows.  Just as we are about to turn into the camp the forester pulls to the side of the road and we watch the moose family crossing. Extra.
I put on the big lens, opened my door and stood on the steps of the camper to take photos.   Finally animals.  We drove into the camp just in time to order dinner and a beer.  I had half a  Rueben sandwich  and it was just what I needed.
A highlight in Dawson City was seeing the Jack London Museum where a small cabin has been built using some of the logs from the cabin Jack lived in when he was at Henderson's Creek.  They have a display of photos from the time and the woman manning the museum gave a talk about London's time in the Yukon and his life in general.  One summer camping holiday I read Call of The Wild to my children.  I clearly remember at the end of the book I was in tears and they looked at me puzzled.  The lovely daughter still rereads the book.
I am putting all my blips under the tag of Alaska although  technically the last few have been in Yukon, Canada.
