A time for everything

Sunday afternoon walk at Spring Grove

It was a very warm, humid afternoon when we were walking around Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum. At the point when we decided to go there, it was mainly overcast, but had I known the sun would come out, I might have chosen to walk somewhere with more shade, like the Little Miami trail. I had been hoping the southern magnolias would still be blooming with their huge impressive flowers, and I wasn’t disappointed. The pink flower shown is the flower of the Black locust tree. It was interesting to see a number of people walking with dogs today. Normally dogs are not allowed, except for this one day event “Dog Day of Summer”!
