Spring Chicken
Spring chicken with anchovy and caper sauce, and grilled romaine on an overly generous mound of unadulterated mayonnaise. Wine: Alira Tribun Red Bend 2019.
This is probably my last spring chicken before I must release all claim: I turn 40 later this year. After a day trip to Transylvania (Peles Castle, Brasov, and Bran Castle), we returned to Bucharest and changed hotels. We are now on the hotel provided by Viking and will be on the ship tomorrow evening. We had dinner at the hotel, and we ended up with a couple of rather excellent shots of house-made limoncello on the house after a misguided effort by the chef to comp them to a table of affable mormon missionaries (who don't drink alcohol or caffeine as a point of religion). The wine was rather good and a fantastic value for the price.
