Greenland Dawn
Up at dawn this morning to peek out the window and see an impressive ice field between our ship and land.
A strong wind storm to our north pushed a lot of pack ice down along the coast overnight, making it impossible for us to navigate through it to enter the fjord at Skjoldungen, so we are slowly making our way southward in the hope of finding another fjord to explore that is free of obstacles.
Never mind -- we've had a lovely morning so far, all bundled up in our parkas, gloves, sweaters and hats up on deck marveling at the beauty of it all.
Extra: An Ivory Gull showing us the way.
