Lone Tree, Ten Years On

Mist hanging around the hills this morning, but turned into a beautiful sunny day, warm and breezy.  A beautiful evening.

Up at 5am, early shift in the airport.  After a weekend of disruption, we've had a busy day.  I felt sorry for staff and visitors over the weekend, it's a tough job when the mist comes down.  Popped by Laura's on my way home.  I've been to the peat hill this evening, turning peats.  Most are nearly dry.  Walkies with Sammy, then an early night.

I've not had much luck linking up days for my ten years project, but got one today.  There is an old myth that trees don't grow in Shetland, trees do grow relatively good in most places, here is not one of those places, it relates more to the old myth.  This alder my not have grown much in height, but it has bushed out a tad, but really not much difference in the ten years.  Not so much alone anymore, there are new trees not far away.  Taken along the Black Gaet, Gulberwick side.
