Shetland Flag; 10 Years On

A beautiful calm and sunny morning.  Clouded over,  the mist, low cloud and showers this evening, windy too.

Up at 5am, early shift in the airport.  Started on the check-in desk, then moved to meeting and boarding flights.  Check-in again in the afternoon.  A busy day of passengers, looks like the last flight may be cancelled with the weather.  Walkies with Sammy, then feet up before an early night.

I popped by mam's to see how they were, they have fairly improved, although I kept my distance outside.  The visit tied in well for a 10 year on Blip.  I thought it was going to be easy to line up this photo, but so many changes made it more difficult than it should be.  Firstly the Shetland flag is long gone, I'd imagine the bamboo too.  Then the telegraph pole has been removed, which I was going to use to line it up.  The Shetland rose bush has fairly grown, taking out the red campion, and poor Donald and his dog sadly broke down with the weather.  The sycamore I planted has grown, also that NZ flax peeping up, and the poppies at the back.  The grass hasn't been cut in a while, but currently no one living in the croft house.  Finally, I've moved out.  I was staying here temporarily for a while back then.  Outside Nellie's 10 years on, Aith, Cunningsburgh.

Extras are this morning's view and then this evening, from my garden, Scalloway.
