Golden Crownbeard

(Verbesina encelioides) Also know as the Cowpen Daisy.

A wonderful little wildflower that grows in the floodplain of normally dry riverbeds here in Arizona. I love to see them in the shade of large mesquite trees, but still being hit by the dappled sunlight.
