Mercedes 220s*3

Gave a class today in a part of town I'd not been to before, Mixcoac (pronounced MeesQuack) and because my student was sruck in traffic, I ended up killing the guts of an hour just wandering round her area not too far from her flat.

No end of Dilapidated Beetles and Mad-Maxian Rubbish Trucks photos, but they're not such an unusual occurence for me now. I was literally gobsmacked when I saw the old beauties. Proving that here in Mexico, Beetles don't have an all out monopoly on faded glamour.

I know nothing about these cars other than they were/are gorgeous. Couldn't help but think of all the journeys taken and stories to tell. Would be great to think of them being restored to former glories.

But it's also conceiveable they could just sit on the pavement for 10 years. Such is Mexico.
