Rain starting

Rain was predicted to come from the west this afternoon. It was fairly dull and the wind was getting up when we wandered along to the Botanics and had some lunch there. As we finished, sure enough the spits were appearing. We did manage to get back, via Waitrose, before the rain got a bit heavier and it now looks pretty dreich. Keeps the garden watered though. No sign of any thunderstorms yet, fortunately.

It wouldn’t seem quite right if the Highland Show week completely avoided the rain!
