A trip to Oxfordshire

Hot hot day.  Worked at home in the morning and drove to pick Manda up from Newbury.  She had a difficult work call all the way to our destination.  We were going deep into the Oxfordshire/Berkshire countryside to see our old friend AH who is very ill.  I have some lovely pictures of us all together but of course they aren’t right to publish here and so I am just showing a corner of their garden.  It was poignant but lovely to hang out together as the old team, gossiping about mutual friends, ponging frenemies and bemoaning the state of the industry.  To be clear not just us bemoaning the state of the industry. Everyone is! 

Did a second route home, this time it was me on a long work call so I kept to the straight roads and didn’t rush and did manage to notice how lovely everything looked.
