Aloft at Glasto

It has been very hot at the Glastonbury Festival today and no surprise therefore to see a hot air balloon drifting across the sky above The Park Stage (there were several, in fact). On the stage was Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders) performing a very powerful set with guest appearances from Johnny Marr and Dave Grohl. The day started on a quieter, more contemplative note with an excellent set from North-East folkies, The Unthanks. I'm now in the Woodsies tent waiting for Christine and the Queens to come on stage. The extras are a view  across a sea of tents from the Glastonbury seaside pier and a recycle sign using the image of Rosie the Riveter.
