The Wheatsheaf, Combe Hay

“The Wheatsheaf is situated in large terraced gardens overlooking the village of Combe Hay in idyllic countryside just 10 minutes drive from the centre of Bath. The Wheatsheaf is a haven of contemporary rustic chic, preserving the best of the past and enhancing the present... The open log fire warms and welcomes in the Autumn and Winter, during Spring and Summer the Terrace and garden beckon.”

With the help of N, took Dad into Bath for his DVT scan this morning, where he got the all clear, phew! As the scan only took 10mins, we stopped off at The Wheatsheaf for a cooling drink. The inn dates back to the 1500s, and is in the most picturesque setting. My photo really doesn’t do the place justice, the light was horribly flat.

Back home an afternoon of resting, dozing and ice lollies. The thermometer in the garden showed 29 degrees, and very humid, but the washing did dry quickly! Yesterday’s meds fiasco continued, though hopefully now sorted, and this evening sat in the garden enjoying the slightly cooler air and an ice cream!

Thank you for all your kind comments and stars for yesterday’s blip, things are slowly returning to normal.
