In A Perfect World

My Dear Princess and Lovely Nieces,

I felt better today but still managed to sleep in until 1pm. Fazzy warned me that it took her two weeks recover from her jet lag last month.

"But you also had a cold and two small people climbing all over you," I pointed out.

"True story," she agreed.

All the same, my aims for this weekend are few. Caro and I watched a marathon of "Gogglebox", "Celebrity Gogglebox" and "The Gods of Tennis".

Gogglebox was something I'd got re-addicted to while I was in the UK. We have always watched the Aussie version, but the UK one is hard to find here.

I made a concerted effort though and found the last two series online. It's good to see Giles and Mary and Sophie and Pete and Lee and Jenny again.

It was PERFECT telly for a day in which I could provide little in the way of focus or attention.

"The Gods of Tennis" was even better. It's a history of Wimbledon during those years when Borg and McEnroe were having a go at each other. It's got a great 80's music soundtrack and most importantly I didn't have to be awake to enjoy it.

In the evening I made Caro a TPB. I hope she appreciates how much love went into that. You have to STAND UP FOR TEN WHOLE MINUTES making sure the cheese sauce doesn't burn.

I was quite exhausted.

There are no plans for Sunday. In a perfect world.

S.
