Veterans Day

Here in Barnstaple today. I didn't actually go to the event, but took a drive into town, to catch a glimpse of the R.A.F. Red Arrows doing a fly past. I have never seem them live before, so it was a treat. There was two more flypasts  scheduled, An A400M, and a Lancaster Bomber. But I caught up on some news that the Lancaster, one of only two still flying, was grounded yesterday because of a fault. A shame but safety first. A couple of images in extras.

Although it was hot in the garden I did cut the grass, and staked up some of my wild flowers that were running amok.

As I type this I am in my study cooling off with the ceiling fan going, and a G&T before getting dinner ready ;-)
