Getting there

Well firstly apologies for the poor pic, but today was work and home. I don't perform life or death surgery or mine for coal in the deepest pit, it's just a busy time of year at work. Tomorrow though is the first of June and we break up for summer holidays on the 25th. This image is used by the Twitter for iPhone app as you open a picture - it means the picture is almost open. The picture that is a summer break is edging closer.

I used a little analogy with someone the other day who is nearly finished a college course but who has somewhat run out of steam, just as things are nearly, oh so nearly done. I nearly said something about falling at the final hurdle just there, and that was close to the analogy. The best runners speed up as they approach the finishing line. It's a mark of the best students that around this time that they produce their best work. I'm aiming to abide by the analogy and although the thrust of this is getting there, it's getting there well, when there's a focus, a real goal. And approaching the end with a determination to do well, raise the bar and keep going all guns blazing. So looking forward to a summer holiday - loads to do beforehand.
