Bonfire

Another glorious day on Coll with wonderful weather and stunning beaches with almost no one on them.

A couple of us headed in the morning to the south of the island for a walk/ run on the dunes and the beaches. I think I met 2 people!

Lunch at the cafe in the village which was excellent then a trip up to the north west of Coll to enjoy stunning beaches. On one I walked the full length of the beach. On the other, I braved a swim but found the water too “fresh” and the onset of cramp determined that my swim was brief.

Back for dinner at the Hotel (excellent: see extra for view from restaurant) then went back to the wedding beach for a bonfire and chat and cocktails. The air had turned cool but the fire kept us warm and there was ice cream on offer too.

Another lovely day and I could post calendar worthy pictures of parts of the island but the extras sum up the day. The collie was waiting for a ball to be thrown: tense observation!
