Bogcotton in Glen Affric
A lovely day today, so went for a walk in Glen Affric, the two most easterly hills, Tom a' Choinich and Toll Creagach. A kestrel (a windhover) flew below me at one point, a beautiful russet colour, nice to see as you usually only see them from below. Lots of colourful flowers: bogcotton, mountain thyme, alpine ladies mantel, knapweed and some sundews. There were also some wild strawberries, but I didn't get a photo of them --- I just ate them.
Today's blip is looking up the shoulder of Tom a' Choinich, with bogcotton in the foreground. The extras are bogcotton, two different kinds of sundew and a knapweed.
